Turkey a marvellous place to visit as it has the most wonderful climate coupled with an amazing heritage and welcoming hospitality.  The Villa has the advantage of being only 25 minutes to Antalya airport.

Golf

 Belek is a resort that has been purposefully created and is famous for its award winning golf courses.  There are a huge variety of courses, most of which are PGA standard, so golfers of all levels should be able to find one to suit them.  The Turkish weather makes it possible to play all year round (although it can be very hot in July/August) with the high seasons being spring and autumn. Belek is due to host the Eisenhower Trophy amateur world championships in 2012.  We would recommend joining the Kadriye and Belek Golfing Society as they offer substantially discounted rates at some of the courses and have regular competitions.

Belek & Kadriye

Belek and Kadriye are fantastic as a base to enjoy all that Turkey has to offer. In both the local towns, there are weekly markets, Turkish baths and a great selection of restaurants and bars.The towns are very close to each other with plenty of taxis and bus services to all the amenities making it very easy to get around, we would recommend you hire a car though as it give you greater flexibility and less time waiting at bus stops! The main attractions for the area are the fantastic selection of golf courses and the beautiful beaches.

The beach parks have a selection of bars and restaurants, childrens playgrounds, outdoor adventure parks and even go-karting. It is only just over 1 km to the beach at Kadriye from the villa and you can go there on a shuttle bus which is provided free of charge.

The area also offers easy access to horseriding on the beach, sailing, waterskiing, paragliding and Aquaparks. It is also easy to go cycling or climbing in the Taurus mountains, and white-water rafting, or to take a Kayak along the Koprulu Canyon.  There are restaurants where you can sit on a platform over the river having supper or a drink while it flows beneath you - no seasickness here!  We went white-water rafting in August 2010 and can thoroughly recommend it if you fancy an adrenalin rush!! 

Local historic sites include the Roman Amphitheatre in Aspendos, the ancient city of Perge( which is an open air museum), the picturesque town of Side and it is only 90 minutes drive to the ski resort. So you can ski in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon.

There are so many local attractions we cannot possibly list them all, but rest assured if you are wanting to either relax on beautiful beaches, play on stunning golf courses or be a culture vulture it is all here for you.  There is a file in the villa with lots of details in.

You could also just relax and read a book by the pool!

We have found the turkish people to be so friendly and hospitable, the food is great, sunshine plentiful and we already have many happy memories.
